Little Achievements and Welcoming April
How is it April already? It seems like January turned a corner and the last two months flew by. It’s been almost a full two weeks since Sam and I packed up our bags and headed to my parents. We’ve been talking about how we’ll look back on this time in ten years… will there be conspiracies, documentaries, history books? The anticipation for Spring was long awaited, but now that April is finally here, we’re asking the question- what’s next?
Little Achievements in March
There were still so many wonderful things that happened in the month of March. For me? I surprised myself by learning I can do a headstand (thanks Alo Moves!) We pulled out old games, baked way too many brownies, started a new book, and I even made a new connection (thanks to the internet).
To be honest, I wasn’t setting a goal to achieve anything this past month.
I was just, going with the day to day life at home. I’ve been practicing more yoga, but it wasn’t until I tried a headstand that I learned I had made an achievement of my own. I was so giddy (I mean come on I’m far from a gymnast or yogi over here), and I thought, I’ve been building this strength all along and didn’t even know..
It Looks Different For Everybody
Small achievements of course don’t have to mean completing a headstand. But I’m taking this in stride, and working my way to a handstand next. Don’t ask me why, I probably couldn’t tell you the answer. Maybe for the small satisfaction that stems from when I was a little girl dreaming to be a gymnast. Or, that for the fact alone that having something to work for keeps the focus forward.
Is there something that you achieved this last month?
