Easter Plans and the Flowy Pink Skirt

What are your plans for Easter this year? Did it sneak up on you like it did for us? This weekend we’re heading over to spend it in my parents home and their 80 degree weather. Being on the most beautiful farm in Eastern Washington, I can’t wait to go unwind in pure seclusion- and get a sun tan while I’m at it.

Although we won’t be going anywhere, I can’t think of a time I didn’t dress up for Easter. Anticipating a new Spring dress or skirt every year before the holiday is exciting for me and I love refreshing my wardrobe with the soft pastel colors.
I had this flowy pink skirt tucked away in my closet, waiting to be styled and worn. It’s such an easy, feminine piece that highlights the colors of Spring perfectly. Every time this year rolls around I find any way to freshen up our home and closet. Here I threw on a breezy white button down which I previously had, and a light lip to compliment the effortless skirt. Even staying home it makes me feel put together and styled without being uncomfortable (not to mention light enough for warm weather).

Are you highlighting the colors of Spring with any wardrobe pieces this year? Scroll on to see the full outfit details and our menu plans for the holiday.. Happy Easter!

On the Menu
Grandma’s Rolls (secret recipe)
Fruit Medley
Desserts
This is the menu my mother has put together for years. With a few new additions, and our own healthier spin, the meal comes together in perfect fashion. Our family gathers around the table as we enjoy the fresh flavors of Spring with a glass of wine or cocktail (see below).

For Drinking
Van Arnem Lazy River– our favorite white wine.
Whether Easter feels a little off to you this year or not, try to reminisce on past traditions or previous dresses that once made you feel good. Incorporate those feelings or traditions in to the day and make it one to remember for years to come.
