A Note from Me
I was recently told some life advice from someone very dear to me. It wasn’t something new, out of the ordinary, or something I’ve never heard before, but it was what I needed to hear in that moment.
Part of our nature is making decisions when we are at a crossroads. Although we’ll never know whether we are completely making the right decisions, life continues on. There’s high times and low times. Times where we are right where we need to be- and times where we need to leave.
“Pray to have confidence in whatever your decision may be.”
I heard this over our conversation and the words resonated with me immediately. Pray to have confidence, not pray for the right decision.
If we are hopeful for something to happen, we wait for it to magically fall in to place. But what if it’s not supposed to fall in to place? What if we just need to be confident to make a decision on our own?
As I continue on my path in life, I’ll always wonder if I’m making the right decisions, if I need to take action, or sit back and let it unfold. Whatever it may be, we have the power to be confident in ourselves.
I’ve learned so much about myself in the past year, and there’s only room to grow from here. I’ve found a deeper love, a continued love, an inner passion for baking, and creativity that took some digging. There’s so much that can happen when you let go of what everyone thinks, and just embrace yourself.
This wise quote was from my mother, Deborah Anne.
