5 Homemade Gifts Your Friends and Family Will Actually Use
We all have those friends and family that we want to get a gift for, but aren’t completely sure what they would need, or use for that matter. If you’ve still got a few people left on your shopping list, look to a homemade gift to give this season. These gifts are far from boring and you’ll know that you’re actually giving them something useful (or delicious) this season..
Since you’ll already be in the kitchen this holiday season, bake a few extra cookies and line them in a dessert box to give out to co-workers, teachers, friends, family, and anyone else in need of a sweet treat. If you’re not a baker, store-bought will do just fine.
2. Christmas Crafts
Christmas crafts can sometimes come off as.. boring. If you’re deciding to make a craft for someone this year, think about what you personally would want if that gift was coming to you. If you love receiving sparkly new baking tools, or your favorite candy, get creative and incorporate that in to a craft for someone else this year. It truly is the thought that counts. (How cute would this whisk and candy be as a stocking stuffer too?)
3. Homemade Cinnamon Rolls
Homemade cinnamon rolls can really go a long way. If you know someone doesn’t have extra time to spend a whole day baking for their family, spread the joy and do it for them. Bonus: these gingerbread cinnamon rolls would be a hit on Christmas morning.
4. Hot Cocoa Kit
Ah Winter, the only time it’s acceptable to have candy-canes for breakfast, cookies for lunch, chocolate for drinking, and marshmallows for dessert.. that’s normal right? Build a hot cocoa kit from scratch for all your sweet-tooth friends or family. If you want to be extra jolly, booze-y hot chocolate is always a good idea..
5. Christmas Movie Night Kit
Make a movie kit that they can either use at home or the theater. Popcorn, candy, and movie tickets are all great budget-friendly options to give. Make sure to throw a festive blanket in there too so they can stay cozy while watching.
