10 Newly Purchased Items From Amazon That We Love

You may be an Amazon-aholic if…
One: you buy five new sets of bed sheets just to stock up (true story from my brother in law). Or two, you’re performing the ol’ iPhone speed search: checking if an item is cheaper on there than the one in store. Not to worry, I’ve been there way too many times. And last month, we did it dirty..
So today I thought it would be fun to showcase some recent Amazon purchases my husband and I are actually finding use for (10 to be exact). Including a dress I’ve embarrassingly worn way too much this Summer, and a clunky water bottle that Sam is deeply devoted to. But really, he won’t let that thing out of his sight. (At least he’s drinking water though, right?..)
We turn to Amazon for just about anything these days- whether it’s searching for an item that I would have no idea where to buy anywhere else. Or finding fun fashion pieces (which take me by surprise every so often). In the age of a pandemic, Amazon has made our at-home shopping easier and easier. And hopefully, this list will make yours that way too. Although we do a lot of shopping on Amazon for “quick items”, I will note that we’ve also been trying to turn locally. Snohomish has some of the best options for shopping second-hand, handmade, and discovering other unique items to bring home. We head there when we want to find something unique, and turn to Amazon for almost everything else..
So, to fuel that addiction even further, scroll on to see the 10 newly purchased items from Amazon that we love. I promise there’s no bed sheets- but you may find something you didn’t know you needed.. enjoy!

No. 1 Black Button Down T-Shirt Dress
I first saw this dress on one of my favorite bloggers, Jacey Duprie of Damsel in Dior. She has a little series where at the beginning of each month, she shares all of her recent Amazon orders. I instantly fell in love with the simplicity and cute buttons on it. There’s many colors to choose from, but black seems to suit every sunny day for me lately.

No. 2 Rahua Voluminous Dry Shampoo
Each morning this past month I’ve been thanking myself for making this purchase. From a former “everyday hair washer” I decided it was time to focus on strengthening my locks. I now go 3-4 days between washing, and this dry shampoo has saved those oily hair days. Just squeeze the bottle (it was difficult to figure that one out), and poof, a little on the scalp goes a long way.

No. 3 Love is Served Cookbook
I love this cookbook. Although we don’t entirely follow a vegan diet, my husband and I still try to rotate in a few plant-based meals each week. Executive chef of Cafe Gratitude, Dreux Ellis, brought forth his days in Venice, Italy to Southern California developing the flavorful, creative recipes behind this book. Each page is boasting with nutritious meals, kind messages, and inspiration to cook with more plants. A favorite so far is the SF Mission Burrito (he makes you work!) but the flavor is out of this world. P.S. we’ve syndicated a recipe from the book that I’ll be unveiling shortly- so stay tuned!

No. 4 When No One Is Watching- A Thriller
This was the most recent purchase (and by that I mean last night). It just launched on Amazon September 1st, and I did not resist getting my hands on it immediately. Fall brings comfort in to our homes, and now that I’m staying home more than ever, I need to keep up on my reading list. Alyssa Cole is the author behind this fiction thriller, and the reviews are nothing but extraordinary. Plus, we all need a good spook when Halloween approaches.. I’m expecting a good one!

No. 5 Loloi ll Layla Collection Area Rug
Finally, an affordable rug that is big enough for the living room, and accents our beige-white couch perfectly. Loloi produces the most beautiful rugs. You can find them sold online at places like Rug & Weave, Rugs Direct, Overstock.. etc. I’ve spoke on here before about just how “picky” I am when it comes to home design. But I’m glad to say this one is a keeper, and so cozy on movie nights!

No. 6 Half Gallon Water Bottle With Time Marker
I’m giggling as I write this, because I’ve made fun of Sam that he probably could have purchased a large water bottle and wrote his own times on there. But he insists on following it hour by hour! I’m not kidding when I say it doesn’t leave his hip, but he has drank more water these past few weeks than I ever thought possible. Kudos.

No. 7 Reusable Dog Diapers
Maybe TMI, maybe not. Our dog Maggie hit her long-anticipated heat about a month ago. Since she sleeps atop our chalk white sheets nightly, we took the plunge and ordered diapers. They were way better than trying to wrestle disposable ones on her, and I just rotated them in the wash here and there. Her heat is over now- wahoo! But this was definitely worth the purchase (if you too have a female dog at home).

No. 8 Revlon Tweezers
Buying tweezers is one of those things that you just never seem to run out of. But, believe it or not, I actually ran out. Or lost them, either way I found zero tweezers in the house. Five bucks later, they were on my doorstep in a day! And I now put them back in the bathroom drawer where they belong.

No. 9 Beauty By Earth Self Tanner
Can I request a subscribe and save button for this self tanner? It’s a staple for me- and truly one of the best self tanners I’ve found to date! The creamy lotion goes on so easily and steers very clear from any orange color afterwards. I usually apply two to three times a week on my legs, and once every two weeks all over my body. No breakouts, organic ingredients, and the perfect golden glow!

No. 10 Oatmeal Protein Shampoo For Dogs
If you have a dog at home- this is THE shampoo to order. I promise you won’t ever go back to the typical brands usually found in stores. The breeder who gave my parents their dogs, told them to snag this one off Amazon. Without having to apply much, it lasts a long time and the scent is amazing!
